Three quick steps
How to Use the UCAT Percentile Calculator
- 1
Find your total. Use a current UCAT cognitive total between 900 and 2700.
- 2
Enter the score. Official UCAT scaled scores are reported in 10-point steps.
- 3
Read the result carefully. Boundaries are official; values between them are interpolated estimates.

Rank, not marks
What Is a UCAT Percentile?
A percentile describes how a total score compares with candidates in the same test cycle. Reaching the 80th-percentile boundary means the score was at the point below which roughly 80% of candidate totals fell. It does not mean 80% of questions were answered correctly.
This calculator uses the official final 2026 UK decile boundaries, based on 42,359 UK tests with data valid to 24 September 2026. Use statistics from the year and region of your test.
Nine published boundaries
UCAT Deciles Explained
Decile thresholds divide the candidate distribution into ten equal groups. UCAT publishes nine boundary scores: the first is the 10th-percentile boundary, the second is the 20th-percentile boundary, and so on up to the ninth at the 90th percentile.
The official table reports boundary ranks rather than a separate “10th decile” row. A total at or above 2250 reaches the final 2026 UK ninth-decile threshold, the entry point to the top 10% band.

UCAT Percentile Table: Official Decile Thresholds
These nine total-score thresholds are reproduced from the UCAT Consortium’s final 2026 UK statistics. This calculator estimates positions between them; use the official percentile lookup to verify a score.
| Official decile threshold | Percentile boundary | Minimum total score |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | 10th | 1590 |
| 2nd | 20th | 1700 |
| 3rd | 30th | 1780 |
| 4th | 40th | 1850 |
| 5th | 50th | 1920 |
| 6th | 60th | 1980 |
| 7th | 70th | 2050 |
| 8th | 80th | 2140 |
| 9th | 90th | 2250 |
Final UK boundaries: 1920 is the median boundary, 2140 reaches the 80th percentile and 2250 reaches the 90th. Percentiles between boundaries remain estimates.
